Skin reviews by video or with clear photos
Many rashes, acne flares and eczema questions can be discussed online when the area can be seen well on video or high-quality photos. Your GP may advise creams, lifestyle measures or further review.
Suspicious moles, rapidly spreading infection, severe blistering, or eye involvement often need urgent in-person care. Remote GPs are not a substitute for specialist dermatology when that is indicated.
Often suitable for online review
- Common rashes, acne and eczema reviews when visual assessment is possible
- Follow-up on previously diagnosed skin issues when remote care is reasonable
Not for online booking
- Suspected serious infection with systemic illness — urgent care
- Mole checks that clearly need dermoscopy or biopsy pathways
Common questions
- Should I send photos?
- If the booking flow allows attachments, clear well-lit photos help. Otherwise use video so the doctor can see the area during the consult.
